Right then, firstly I dont post on here all that often but tonight I feel like I need to unleash ( apologies for the spelling, grammer etc. had a fair few beers tonight... I needed them)

Well first things first I am a 21 year old supporter of Sheffield United I have followed my team home and away from the age of 7. This includes as far nortrh as Newcastle, as far south as Portsmouth, as far east as Cardiff, and as far west as Norwich, Basically ive followed United everywhere, ive spent every penny ive had on my team.

For the people that arent quite sure United are in a relegation battle in the championship we will go down this year I garuntee that, although ive not looked at the league table ( for weeks! i really cant bare to!) i know we will go down. Why? Apart from the fact we dont have any flair, skill, creativity speed or strength we are missing the the main component of any team heart. We have no will to fight, we are to put it frankly ste.

Tonight I saw my best mate cry for the first time ever as the realisation hit him aswell as me, my other mates, and every other one of the 2500+ blades that were crammed into the away end at shorpe we are going down this season we're the only ones that care, the fans. As long as those overpaid prima- donna's (spellings wrong i know!) get paid they dont give two fks!

But to me, my mates and many others this is our lives, we spend thousands a year ( the amount those useless, passionless s earn in a week)doing what we do, for the love of the game, for the love of the original United. What do we get in return? Performances like tonight! 2-0 down, lose 3-2 and no chances in the second half.

I will never ever give up on my team because they have got me through so much in the past but im getting to the point where i wonder why do I bother! But then i remember why i do it, the mates, the booze and most of all the euphoria of a goal and hopefully soon a win.

If your a betting person get on United to be relegated ( not looked at odds as i dont want to) youll win, We will be joining the pigs in league one next year.

That brings me to another point actually... Has there been another, bigger derby than The steel city at the 3rd tier? Only one we could come up with was newcastle- Sunderland but not a proper derby in my eyes because a derby is two teams from the same city and nothing else.

As i say , no paticular reason for typing this it just needed to go somewhere! Apologies for my spelling/grammar been out since 1.30 pm!

The Tyne-Wear derby is a proper footballing derby, as anyone who has attended will testify.

Alrthough its never been held in the third tier, as the Toon have never fallen that far down the ladder.

Unlike the Mackems or clubs that aren't even the biggest thing in their own town.

On a serious note, I know how you feel. We have some players who do try, and do give it their all, but we have some who don't. Dave Whelan is Wigan through and through. He'll only sell the club because he doesn't want the debt passed onto his family. Martinez is also a Wigan legend. He loves the club, but sometimes (a lot of the time), his tactics don't pay off.

Our fans aren't bad, but the amount is. I remember we took 50 people (yes, 50) to Spurs away on a Friday night. We also have dheads who use football as an excuse to get drunk and cause trouble.

When I watch Wigan, I hate seeing them lose, absolutely hate it, especially when the players try their damned hardest and just get unlucky.

I don't know if we'll stay up this season, but it's looking negative. We're relying on everyone around us to be crap, and that's our only way out. We've got some bloody difficult fixtures for the remainder of the season.

awww poor Blunts

Just like both teams, Shatfield has been decaying and festering in it's own filth for decades. it's hardly a Metropolis or even a P.O.I

So isn't it about time the Blunts and their neighbours Shatfield Yesterday? (or whatever they are called) merged, you'd at least get a half decent crowd for the home games.

st happens, not worth crying about though. I've supported Wolves all the way from the bottom of the 4th division to the bottom of the Premiership, seen us get knocked out of playoffs and self-destruct to let our local rivals take our promotion place. As a supporter of a middle-ranking team it goes with the territory unfortunately.

On the plus side you could get a trip to Wembley for the League 1 play-off final next season, so not all bad eh?

And there's always the Johnston's Paint Trophy or whatever they call it now.

And then there's the chance you could pull off a giant killing act in the Carling Cup, maybe by beating Blackburn or something.

Actually I might give up supporting lowly Blackpool and convert to the Blades, sounds like some serious trophies might be coming your way hehe

Those 2 trips to the Millennium Stadium for the Johnston's Paint Trophy Final were brilliant days out. No real pressure as such, unlike the 3 play-off finals (all won) we've had in the last 10 years.

What an ill informed and pig ignorant post.

Suppose we can't expect better from the French province of Devon, the land of cider-swilling, sheep shagging Jethros...

I'm going to report you to Gorvid, he'll put you right...hehe

Yep NUFC haven't been in the third tier, but keeping the north east theme going Hartlepool may have played Darlington in the third tier, not from the same town, but bigger than the Sheffield derby biggrin
