Um... Be careful when buying from Music Ground. See, for example, http://www.mi-pro.co.uk/news/31771/Harrisons-accus...I agree that the speakers are what really matters.

Plenty of info on 'net regarding the "goins-on" at Music Ground.

I am thinking of buying a Hiwatt Dave Gilmour 100 watt head. Dave paired his Hiwatt head with WEM 4 X 12. But I don't think you can get them new anymore, so what substitute would be best for that Gilmour sound?
What you really need is Gilmour himself. You could put his guitar through a triple rectifier and cab and he'd still sound like Gilmour :-)Edited by HAZZAGTR on Wednesday 23 February 12:33
Hi, if your looking at buying a wem or a copy cab, i have a WEM 4x12" StarFire 80 cab, its in need of some tlc cosmetically (new tolex and grill cloth) the cab it self (wood/electronics) is in great condition, the wiring and speakers are all original and are in perfect condition. I did alot of research on what model speakers are in this as some wems used fanes others didn't, from contact with charlie watkins he said the speakers are from a danish supplier he used which he thought were equal to fanes, but that was all the information he could give me.
The cabs rated at 12Ohms with each speaker been rated at 16ohms, some pics:

Its for sale, open to offers, i can take more pic son request.

Not too sure how you would get 12ohm from 4 16 ohm speakers?
You can't, of course, but ISTR there was a fashion for labelling speaker and output impedances as 3-ohm, 6-ohm and 12-ohm at some point in audio. Perhaps it was a reference to DC resistance (instead of AC impedance)? (shrug)Close enough for rock-n-roll, anyway.
