So, after spending a bomb taking a lady friend for a short break in Paris, my budget for a new watch has suddenly shrunk to about £1k.

I'd like something fairly classical and with a bit of cachet, think Stowa Marine Original.
Do you have any suggestions along those lines?

Good point. Will have a look.

I've come across this Glashuette watchmaker: http://www.bjunge-soehne.com/
I'm quite taken by the Modular Chrono BSB, which looks quite similar to the Hublot Big Bang I would have liked to buy before my ladyfriend adventures.
It seems to have a modified/upgraded ETA 7750 in its belly. €2,000 is the price.

Does anyone know anything about them?

By the way, how do I register to TZ?
Is it by invitation only?
