What's the website where you have to post your details?

Is what you're really asking actually whether you need visas to visit Tenerife and Aruba?
Assuming you're a British citizen holding a standard passport you shouldn't need anything to enter Tenerife as it, being part of Spain, is within the EU. I'm not so sure about Aruba but my interpretation of this is that you don’t need any sort of visa for a holiday, you probably just fill in some form on the plane before landing.
Your travel agent sounds about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

No, I know about visas and all that. Just the bint seemed to be quite insistent that we had to log on to the internet and input passport details and our flight details.
I know I didn't dream it. She is obviously telling everyone, whether they are travelling to the States or not.
I went on holiday to Ibiza last summer with Thompson. I had to go onto their website and put in passport details. Maybe this was because I booked online and not in a travel agents.I know I didn't dream it. She is obviously telling everyone, whether they are travelling to the States or not.
ESTA is for the USA only and has to be done every two years.
Is this something to do with the Advance Passenger Information (API) where the airlines need full details of passengers before they travel.
For most you can do it online when you print boarding passes etc. If not, they just take the details from your passport when you check-in
Edit - stick advance passenger info into google & it comes up with links to travel companies / airlines on what they want off of you

Sure she wasn't just recommending online check- in?
No, definitely not. I'm a seasoned enough traveller to know the difference. It's something to do with what the Baron said up there ^^^ETA:
