Only guessing, but it looks like the sort of place a car would be dumped and burnt out after it had been stolen/used in some sort of crime

Very true. It's also a well known fact that turning off the wipers can make the car just set on fire. One of the draw backs with an Audi. Poor owner.

Mind you, an interior fire is enough to have a normal steel car off the crusher anyway, so its more a case of how much is left rather than the amount of damage. Burned out TVR's are pretty impressive too - for similar issues.
