Obviously I'm not planning to 'drive by sat-nav' but I would appreciate knowing which direction the road ahead is going to lead and have a fair idea on the severity of the said corner...

I've previously owned a Garmin Nuvi 1300 and its A & B road maps were distinctly straight through some pretty twisty sections of road. Is there a brand with maps that follow roads more accurately??

I have used my previous Tom Tom XL ONE and my current 550 GO Live for this.
Combined with itinerary files ( so you can force the route you want wink ) it is great.

Until this happens! laugh

My Tom Tom gives a pretty accurate indication of road layout. What car is that in by the way with the alcantara windscreen surround? Very nicesmile
