The car needs new front calipers and discs and pads all round hence the low price and it is with great regret i am forced to sell as at the moment i cannot afford to get them repaired.
sneakily I read the advert
Do you think it is the same seller? The shame here is that in 2002 I bought for £500 a lovely E28 520i. It was immaculate inside and out and one did not realise what I had bought. Work then took me back home to the mid west so I sold the car for £500. Now it seems I should have really kept hold of it.sneakily I read the advert

seems like the same bloke - wording is similar and style of advert. Maybe he is just an honest chap who has realised it needs the work/parts?
Quite possible, I wonder if it has the metric size wheels. I know my version had which made tyres rather difficult to come byJimmyarm said:
Might have a look at this at the weekend.
What is the 2.0 litre like in these ? The E39 with it is woefully underpowered
I found the e28 520i to be an absolute dream. Perfectly powered and extremely smooth and refined. It would not set the world alight but it did return excellent MPG, was comfortable and as said the power was more than adequate. What is the 2.0 litre like in these ? If buying it is often best to take mileage with a pinch of salt. The clocks would often fail and be swapped over, a battery on the back of the dash unit would fail and this could cause all sorts of fun and games.
I don't know about that....even in the E30 the 2.0L M20B20 motor was underpowered and known to be heavy on fuel. I have a 1983 320i Auto that gets about 25MPG and that's in a smaller and lighter shell. The 525E with the ETA 2.7L version of the motor was the best of the lot in terms of fuel consumption. Super smooth I agree though and sounds nice.
