Satellite navigation system

I've been playing with the GPS jacket for the iPaq. Works well after you get a signal the only issue is the damned jacket and holder are supposed to attach to the windscreen and driving a TVR you get a windscreen about the same size as one of Janet Street Porters spectacle lenses it sort of obscures the view of the road!

The only one I'd look at is the JVC NX1 or the Becker traffic pro (same units but the JVC is silver) £1000 or so and work pretty well whilst fitting in the standard radio slot - All others tend to look a bit messy in the TVR dash...
Yup, agree with huge... Of course, Becker has a new toy now, have a look here:

Bit too rich for my blood at the moment, but I have it on my wish list...

I have a Clarion sat nav system with pop out wide screen monitor, blah, blah, blah, in my Griff. Worked ok (ish) until i realised the TVR speedo pulse did not work below 8mph. So crawling along it had to wait for the satalites to up date it, by then you missed the direction that said turn here, now. Thankfully they have a natty little device that detects wheel rotation. Now it tells me to the milli metre. Since then i realised the system in my rangie was the same, not quite so bad,4 mph the speedo pulse doesnt work. Now fitted the gismo and alls well.

That Becker thing looks good - looking to replace my head unit on the Chimaera soon and could fit the bill quite nicely. However, anyone know how much they are? The equivalent Blaupunkt one is £700 - £800 so assume that much, but dont know....
Anyone know who stocks it? The website link is to a UK company that is a distributor rather than retailer / installer.....
Cheers,
Paul
