The Hood = clear plexi glass

Hello,

a friends car (and possibly my too)has made the hood by clear strong plexi glass.Only the firmly screwed part.The engine is polished, it looks greatly.

Someone has experience for this?

I was thinking about this the other week - think I even mentioned the idea to Joolz when I was up there... the Tuscan's a lousy car for showing off the size of my block in pub carparks Think it'd depend on the colour of the car, but a semi-transparent, semi-mirrored bonnet could be very, very cool. Then again, I'd only go getting ideas about putting blue neons in the engine bay.

I reckon a clear roof panel would look good aswell and i reckon it could be done.

I`m wondering how he gets the exactly form of the original hood.Directly from the factory or selfmade? These are things i ask for the next time.I `ve seen him at my dealer the first time and will call up for any pics.

But, looks it in a few month still high gloss?
How is it with the surface of the rear window by an older car?
..
I think the bay full of neon-lights its too much, isn`t it?
In Cologne we would say "Kölner-Karneval-Car" or a
"fast-and-furious-chinese-rice-digester-look"

Yes, but a clear roof panel must be to darken.

I'd like to see a picture of the bonnet (hood) Just wondered if anyone has every thought of replacing the roof panel with a Clear perspex unit to give it a bit more of an 'open' feel in winter??

For those who don't know it's a very fine beer brewed in Colgone!!
