I can no long stand those botchy pieces/covers/deflectors each side of my windscreen. It is the single and most common negative comment I recieve from non-TVR owners in resepct of the build quality of my car.

Solutions anyone, please? I just have to tidy it up.

What do you mean, the water recess in the windscreen or the pillar plates?

If you got a pre 2000 they're most likely the carbon ones... god knows where you get a new set, but because it is carbon, you can have them specially treated I heard... I dont know who does it though....
I dont even know if TVR supply a new pair of them?

Anyone, any ideas?

Early ones weren't even carbon fibre look-a-like just plain black rubberised hard plastic.

Mine had the carbon-look ones, and the lacquer had half peeled off either side. I got some silly quote like £100 to replace them both, so I popped down to B&Q... One tin of Ronseal and half an hour later, and they were all nice & shiny again. Would've still prefered them painted in the colour of the car, but then I'd have had to deal with the one on the back of the car, too...

Replaced my carbon ones a few months ago, totally agree
they look naff.
Purchased the new painted type from TVR were about £20 each,
but had to modify them to get to fit.
Mainly at the top edge fibreglassed a return to go just under the roof edge.
Not so difficult and looks brill, makes the car look newer and being painted it blends the body to the roof.
Stops that stuck on roof look.

Stuck on roof look? Isn't that the "floating roof" look thats de rigeur in car design circles at the moment - a la new Range Rover?

Matches the floating rubber ducky in the footwell.
