I've always lusted after a Panerai and have £3500 max to buy a pre-owned one. However I am bewildered by the number of models they produce, many of which look very similar at a casual glance. I like to use my head when watch buying as I don't want to lose much money come resale. So, what in your opinion would be the models to go for - only requirement is a 44mm case or larger.

Chronomaster has a PAM177 titanium for approx £2900. That's where my money would be going

Panerai seem to be in vogue on TZ at the minute and everyone seems to want the base model, the '00' I think.

Personally I'd get the 104.
