No - 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines operate totally differently. Though the question does remain why??? are you thinking performance??.............

If the question is "can you make a 2 stroke engine out of a 4 stroke engine" then the answer is NO. This is because of the different designs of crankshaft. Plus why on earth would you want to???????

If the question is "can you make a 4 stroke engine from a basic 2 stroke engine" then the answer is maybe.
It would involve a stupid amount of work and there would really be no point but if you HAD to then it would maybe be possible to graft on some valves and a basic carburettor setup onto the basic 2 stroke design. You'd also need mods to the cylinder liner. And about a hundred other things.

Hope this helps (but I doubt it)
