Is my car VAT qualifiable?

I'm selling a car for a customer of mine, just on PH classifieds, and ivr been asked if the car is VAT qualifiable?

I have no idea, what does it mean?

The chap is from Hong Kong so I'm guessing it's wanting to be purchased and taken over there, so can someone help

Unless your customer is a lease co, hire co, chauffer co, a car dealer/service oulet and the car is a demo/service loan, etc, then it is highly unlikely it will be a VAT qualifiing car.

Did the owner reclaim the VAT when they purchased the vehicle? If so then VAT will apply to the sale of the vehicle too.
