Vanquish V12 Gearbox fault display

I have done a basic sarch but couldnt find anything.

I have a 2001 Vanquish with 22k miles. Sometimes when first starting from cold a warning flashes up on teh dash saying gearbox fault.

The car drives and runs perfect and I cnt detect any problems with teh box.

Any ideas?

hi if the car has been stood the asm pump does not have sufficient time to build pressure before the self test of the system is completed so it flags a gearbox fault which as soon as the correct pressure is attained usually a few seconds after start up it then clears the warning, this is quite normal and nothing to worry about,

listen for the asm pump running when you open the door before you turn the ignition on .the pump should run as soon as the door is opened . a faulty microswitch in the latch can cause this message to flash up.
