If anyone needs a hand at Cadwell please PM me.
I live about 20 mins away and am happy to help out.
I'm good with spanners, know about cars/race cars etc.
Will do most things for beer money!

I'll be nearby, so might nip over to spectate, should have a few spanners in the back of my ropey old 306 if anyone needs a hand.

You taking the Westie Steve or just instructing?

Says on the site passenger rides in a Veyron will be available? Anyone's on here?

Hi Phil, the Westie is in bits at the moment whilst I sort out the supercharger conversion, hoping to get it out at Oulton at the end of April cloud9

I'll be available for instruction all day so look forward to seeing you there Ian.

I don't know much about the Veyron, I was at Cadwell last week and one of the Marshals mentioned that there would be one coming to that day but I don't know any more than that paperbag, would be good to see one of them going round there though!

Not long to go!

Been watching a few youtube videos of the track. Some people i see lift off the gas pedal just before going over the hill. Is this advisable in order to not damage the car (due to the loads on the engine)?

I think the weather should just about hold off! Not looking forward to the long drive down after the day on track frown

Will be there with my friends in their Clio 182 Cup, Skyline and R8

I've only been once in the wet, but I was lifting off to avoid spinning the rear wheels up going over the crest (-ve g force + wet + power = no traction). I imagine with more powerful cars this also applies in the dry.

Wombat, what car was that in? and what gear were you in? 2nd or 3rd?

I will be driving an Integra Type R which is FWD

That was in my TVR wedge (182 BHP), but it really was wet. IIRC I tried both 2nd and 3rd, but it was still spinning away, had to wait until the flat again before applying power again.

The weather was so bad I actually ended up exiting the track a few times before calling it a day.

Was there in an R26.R. Brilliant circuit - could only stay until lunch but will definitely be going again.

I was a girl and left ESP on - cut power a fair bit going over hill.

I went over this afternoon, some nice cars out and some very, very not nice ones!

Zorba - I saw you car on my paddock walk about - but i them got distracted with Clio stuff and forgot to come and find you, sorry.
Don't remember you being out on track, but I wasn't watching for you - hope you had a good time.

I did have a chat with a couple of guys that had a Radical SR3, never met them before but they chatted like we had know each other for years - that's why I like motor sport so much.

What a fantastic track day after the rather pathetic start by EASYTRACK to get the drivers signed on and sound tested on time. What a joke! Easytrack if you are reading this please urgently rectify this matter for next time.

Anyhow, Perfect weather and incredible track will definitely do again! To top it off i was given the opportunity to do half a dozen or so laps in my friends R8. cloud9

If anyones got any pics or vides of the day please do post.
