Not sure if anyone can help me but I am looking at getting a 57 plate QQ for my GF. It's a 2.0 petrol Acenta with a CVT box, low mileage good spec at a Nissan Dealer.

I know very little about these cars as they are a bit under the radar for a petrolhead.

I have searched the interweb but can find nothing specific about things to check, even on the QQ forum.

Any advice, warnings or anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance

Don't rate them.I have got one of the very first ones as a company hack. Now done 77k miles.Numerous problems, recalls and faults(only new car which has left me stranded in 10 years)and parts always seem to be on back order. The 57 plates were even more poorly screwed together.Check the rear shocks aren't knocking and the wheels, as the early cars suffer with corrosion from poor paint. My aircon condensor failed, so make sure that works too...

Have a couple on our fleet. Not keen. One reached 54K and the interior looked completely shagged; now on 100K and looks like a VW that has done 250K miles.

Parts seems to be scarce for some things too.

I am the exception,my wife bought one but i drive it more than her and think it's a good car.As mentioned rear shocks have a high failure rate, beyond this there doesn't seem to be any common problems.Original bridgestones are a poor tyre, invest in a pair of snowsocks, they do work.
