cerb boot switching twice!

I was wondering if anyone knows if a door switch is the same as the boot switch under the badge? Mine is activating twice when you push it. My mate who fixed the other problems recons its dodgy, cheers

mine does that.. even if no-one elses did I'm not sure it would even be worthy of adding to the 'niggle' list as long as it worked!

ah i see! It didn't do it when i bought it. If it is simple i shall sort it out. Maybe you can buy the switches still? I have looked but no joy

If you hold mine in it clicks continually. Maybe the foam behind your badge is a bit worn out causing the badge to be a bit slow coming back out when you release it. No real hassle really though.

It is the same switch as the doors - details in the equivalent parts thread. However it is almost certainly just adjustment.

If it's annoying you, loosen off the 2 little M6 nuts on the back of the badge to adjust it. It's not broken, just needs adjusting. Most Cerb boot switches do it, so don't worry to much about it.

I have tried that with the nuts, i bought a new badge since that i must have disturbed the wiring maybe! Just be nice to have it switching once as before. Maybe i will try a door switch?

Mine was activating twice, so I replaced the switch this week but it made no difference so looks like its the activator.

I put a new switch in (the old one wasn't working at all) and the solenoid still activates twice.

As said, you can adjust it, but I'd rather it activated twice than not at all.

Something to do with the time the switch is 'open' I think, not used the button on mine for ages so don't remember how many, I think twice. I now use the remote opener that Carl fitted when I have the alarm upgraded - that clicks 4 times. Seems very keen to make sure it's open

Maybe I get three, car's been sat in garage waiting for rear anti-roll bar brackets to turn up so not been used lately.
The brackets are now here so I can confirm clicks soon.

could just be the cable that needs adjusting mine use to click more than once and on occasion I had to play basketball with the boot lid to get it to shut, adjusted the cable and all is well now

Mine does it twice too, maybe it's just making sure the boot has time to pop up?
