bush kit

Have a few bushes that need replacing on my s.can I buy a kit and if so where from? have googled it and used the search tool here but got a bit lost. Thanks in advance

Note if you are a TVRCC member then TVRcarparts is the cheapest place to get these as they give 10% discount to club members, making them cheaper than you can buy from their supplier (supaflex)

You will have people say yes and people say no. I am a Regional Oreganiser for the club so you could say biased but for me it saved me more per year than membership cost (when I used to pay because as an RO membership is free) in discounts from TVR parts suppliers, insurance discounts, trackday costs etc. In addiiton it provides Public liability Insurance for TVRCC registered events (SCH2011 is one of these), maintains the archives and gives you the magazine Sprint (which has got much better since Mandy took over as editor)

In sum I would say it is well worth it, just take your bushes (10% discount will worth about £10-15 to you as discount is before Vat is applied and the membership is £38 IIRC per year) So for £25ish per year you'll get the PLI for TVRCC events, further access to discounts (my insurance this year saved me £30 as I get them to quote then say I'm a member so they have to apply a reduction) and Sprint magazine to your door monthly.

Also the S series is well represented in the club with at least 2 ROs being S owners (Ralph - Spathodomus and I and Andrew - TVRGit is the S series editor for sprint) so we do get a look in.

Others will counter my argument I am sure

Thanks for the info Mark. I have thought about becoming a member since I bought my s but have found piston heads great for info so never bothered, but if being a member of tvrcc is going to save me money and a mag each month why not.Cheers Nathan

I don't look on TVRCC membership as a way to save money - I look on it as a way to support the marque, get together with like-minded people if/when I want to, and get a great magazine every month. Extra goodies like track days and national/international meetings are the icing on the cake. In the scheme of things, member costs are trivial. You will spend more than that each time you fill the tank up.

I agree hence I'm an RO, but the reason I give the "benefits" aspect is it is tangible and immediately obvious. If you look at my comments on a similar thread on the TVR gossip forum you'll see I put an argument similar to yours on there

I joined TVRCC last year, realy great bunch at the mid essex. Monthly meets and runs out in convoy, even a Christmas bash. Worth every penny even without the discounts
