Halo light Upgrade?

Hi this is my first post on the BMW forum.

I recently sold my SLK32 AMG and bought a 635D which is a fantastic car. I have noticed that my halo lights are a yellow
colour and have seen other models with a nice bright white light effect.

My local BMW dealer told me that is was not possible to fit an upgraded bulb but I am sure there must be a LED option.

Can anyone offer some advice?

The LED Xenon look Rings are only on the LCI E92/93 3 Series Coupe and Conv, LCI E70 X5, New X3, F10/11 5 Series and the New 6 Series launched next month. They come as part of a sealed headlight unit. It may be possible to get an aftermarket kit, you could try hids4u.co.uk

hi if your car uses h8 bulbs let me know i have a new set for sale which gives you the white lights

There are LED bulbs that will replace the halogen bulbs, that's the easiest way to do it.

I doubt you will get them looking like the brand new ones though

No idea what bulbs BMW are using!

Not sure what the bulbs the car is using, will check it out.

Found this website, www.bimmian.com/63/LHU/ they seem to have an upgrade kit but they are in the USA.

Hi

I have had the LED replacements (as e bay link on thread above) fitted in my E60 545 M Sport and i can assure you they are a very worth while upgrade and look a hundred times better than the original halogen lamps.
I had them done at a BMW specialist garage and they said they were hard to get to (prob just a way to add some money to the bill !!)
Anyway the result was great so worth the money !!
