Finally got my "new" Lotus home

Hi Guys

I bought my Europa in the end of November. But due to a lot of snow and me working in the UK, i didn't have a chance to pick it up before last friday. I borrowed a large trailer and a 4x4.
BTW my first mod when i got it home, was to install the steering wheel. It has a quick release, which helps a lot getting in and out.

I thought you would like to see the pics from when i picked it up.
And yes i know the wheels are terrible. I have a set of minilites on order like the one in the picture.
They are going to be wrapped in Toyo R888's

I like them too (slotmags?), but it will be nice on the minilites too.

I'm not so keen on the steering wheel - it looks so modern and chunky.

Slotmags are for seventies Mustangs LOL.

I know the steering wheel are modern looking, but i kinda like the look in the old Europa cabin.
I am planning on doing some trackdays and hill climbs, so i think the steering wheel will be better.

I bought it in Denmark, and it is overall very close to mint.

It has a 170 hp Renault Alpine 1600S cross flow engine (allthough bored to 1754 cc.)

Nice, i like that old school dash in particular - gauges and switches, some coolness about it.

New black alloys should work well with that colour!

It is good to see another Europa on the site. I assume that yours is an S2 with an upgraded engine. Which gearbox do you have?

I prefer the original steering wheel, but that's a matter of taste.

Excellent. Those Minilite wheels will look perfect - they suit so many '60s/'70s cars.

Good luck with yellow bodywork - my friend tells me that in Summer his car is covered in stupid flies.

Yeah a S2 with an uprated gordini engine. Currently with a 4 speed engine, but i am tempted to go for a 5 speed.

Haven't thought about the colour. It must attract those small bugs like crazy.

Like that a lot and always been a fan of minilites. Had them on an old escort years (and years) ago and they looked superb.
