HELP!! M4 Cardiff way ....
Discussion
Does anyone know of a good garage near junction 35 m4 (cardiff way) that could fix a blown turbo on a santa fee? My father is trying to get home to southern ireland his ferry is tomorrow!
Any help much appreciated also if anyone knows if the car can be run without a turbo so he can limp onto the ferry that may also be useful! many thanks

The only recovery was through Zurich and only covered him in southern Ireland managed to get him recovered through my AA but not back to Eire so now he's pitched up at a traveloge calling garages etc... (Sad thing is he came over here to bury his father so he has not had a good few weeks!) plus he runs a B&B so needs to get back to look after guests!

You cannot just blank off a turbo without dismantling everything first, and there is the oil feed ,you will find it near impossible to plug that
Are the turbo seals gone ? ie is there plumes of smoke from exhaust ?
Yep he was on the motorway when the engine started reving to the limiter and lots of smoke... AA said it was shot...Are the turbo seals gone ? ie is there plumes of smoke from exhaust ?

Apparently not... if you call to join when broken down they front load everything so the price is prohibitive... cost £150 to get him moved off the motorway through my cover (I was not a passenger so had to charge..) JonnyFive said:
That link is for the british site and says it will recover to the UK.This site may be of more use for you.

Phone them though. It will most likely cost you extra for immediate recovery though.
