Thread for a charity link

Hey, quick question...

A group of friends (one of whom is also a PHer) are doing the National Three Peaks Challenge in May. We're all doing it for charities, and obviously i'm looking to raise as much as possible for mine (the born free foundation). It involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon. Driving between and doing the whole lot in 24 hours.

Would I be breaking the rules if I started a thread about this, asking if people wanred to donate on my just giving page? I thought I'd check here before I did anything . I did do a search but couldn't find anything.

If I was to do this, I'm assuming the lounge would be a suitable place.

Regrettably Charity threads are not allowed as per the rule of posting No. 16 which states you may not:-

"Promote charity events or recruit for charitable donations."

So regardless of what forum you put it in It will get deleted.

Ah I thought that may be the case, as i'm sure I would have seen a few should they have been allowed!
