Hi chaps!

My neighbour to the rear of my property has a pigeon coop.

I don't have any issues with a rather large ungainly bright orange timber structure at the bottom of my garden or indeed the pigeons.

However, I noticed this morning that he has now added 4 apertures with wire mesh onto the elevation that faces us above the height of the existing timber fence.

So the problem is we have always enjoyed a secluded garden with privacy where to the point the missus enjoyed topless sunbathing in the summer. To be honest I quite enjoyed it too!

Now, I'm not saying the guy is a perv. but what would prevent him perving now?????

So the bottom line is we have lost all our privacy do we have any rights. I know not through planning but maybe envnvironmental health??

TIA for any help!

I don't see how perceived voyeurism is anything to do with environmental health. I suspect the holes are for ventilation for the pigeons - if so then louvres or similar could easily be fitted. How would he know your wife sunbathes topless anyway (before the holes were cut)? It's not the sort of thing you do speculatively.

The coop has been there for at least 7 years (thats when we moved in) so I can't see why ventilation is desperately needed now.

Its not the tittie issue its more we have now lost 100% of our privacy whereas prior to yesterday we had 100% privacy all for the sake of some feathered friends!

You could always go round in a jovial frame of mind and ask him what the holes are for...

'Yes, they're for x. Is there a problem?'

'Well you see it's (gestures back to house and cups imaginary breasts)...'

'Oh, right, well I can stick some louvres over them if you like.'

Have a word with your neighbour or put some trellis or something up that blocks the view of the pigeon coop.

Brilliant!

Although did he do it to stop his pigeons seeing his cross dressing neighbour?
