Rear Ball Joint M12 help!!
Discussion
Hi Guys. Have just had a bit of a fight trying to get off my rear lower front ball joint from my earley M12 I Have bought a ball joint from a part number on the wiki but the threads are different, the one on my car has a corse thread and the new one has a fine one. Unfortunaly you cannot use the nut supplied as it has a threaded sleave to fix it on the hub. Can anyone help!! Thanks Roy
I had the sane problem wen I did mine last month. I couldn't find one that matched. However the top ball joints have the corse thread so put a top balljoint on the bottom and new one on top. Job done. If taking out of top plynth put ball joint in vice and turn the plynth and you shouldn't split the plynth this way. Hope that helps.
Thanks James Have given it ago but the top ball joint is seized solid and have broken my vice trying to move it. will try Noble on Monday for part.

They are thread locked in, next time try using a blow torch to expand the surrounding material, heat works when nothing else does.
If they are threadlocked using Loctite or similar you need only to heat to 200C to destroythe bond. Make sure you clean as much of the residue in the form of a white powder from the
part before assy.
