as topic title states, ideally with a picture.
wiring seems simple enough and lots of patience on any re shaping of the head light surrounds but how do they actually mount to the car?

Or source your own headlights, bottle it on on getting the hacksaw out on your P&J and take it to Carizma and take about a couple of hundred off that price...... wink

There are quite a few threads detailing this mod, and at least one with step by step photos.

Cut off the lugs, tack into place to check alignment, fibreglass in and use a bit of expanding foam round the back, in a nutshell.

Check out a few of my pics here.

roysum has some good pics of his as well I am sure he will share.

You dont need to cut all the lugs off, one will bolt directly to the body and one you cut off and can fit a bracket to fasten to the body. This means you can get good alignment, and you are not just relying on sticky stuffs.

I did cut all the lugs off. Here are some following pictures as to how I did it. The essential point is to make sure your new Lupo lights are well lined up to the originals, using my method you don't want to be far out when it comes to MOT time !

It looks like a bit of a bodge laugh (thought I would get that in first) but they are very secure. Tricky bit is profiling the surrounds to make a nice tight fit. I used a pair of dividers to measure from the front finished line of the surround back to the face of the headlight.
Remove the top adjusters to allow use of a 10mm socket from behind.
Apertures cut in wheel arch to accept large lid and neck from whey protein tub (pre face lift, with no previous arch access) I have installed some Halfrauds + 90% lamps.

Good Luck ! you will need it !

There has been some criticism on here about gaps between the headlights and the cowls. I'm very pleased with mine. Probably better than the original set up. I haven't been overly impressed by the beam pattern of the Lupo lights though.

Hope this is of some help, Roy.

I like that idea, it will suit the car more keeping it classic looking and if you use Roy's biscuit tin method, we could come round, supervise and eat them yum while you're doing the work biglaugh.

Where's my ecu with it's secret set up,.....don't let MA get his hands on it....rofl.

I think this deserves a 'bump' of those that are thinking of doing the lupo lights themselves

Can they be adjusted once fitted ? I would like to fit the later Lupo lights (look the same but have integral indicator bulbs)

Then remove the front idicators and fit driving lights ! i was amazed how much better you can see with the head lights and driving lights on together ..the biggest problem is finding a nice pair the correct size ..
