Ladies and Gents,

Our mortgage is currently on a fixed rate with Northern Rock, which is due to expire in December. How early can you arrange a re-mortgage, do you have to wait until the end of the term or can it be arranged in advance for the transaction to go through when the current deal expires?

Cheers

Steve

Cheers, anyone know what the "earliest" it can be done is, with rumours of increasing interest rates ahead I'd prefer to do it sooner rather than later.

3 or 6 months depending on which lender your new deal is with.

With most lenders these days it's 3 months although the odd one still leaves offers open for 6 months in advance.

I would say about 3 months in advance is a good timeframe to do just that.

PM me if you need specific info.
