I'm thinking R56 cooper s has got to be hard to beat?

184bhp in a shoebox and people say you can drive it hard and still get 35mpg, 45+ on a run, known to be reliable until tinkered with too.

What would you choose?

130i

Lose a little in economy (40 on a run still achievable) but more than make up for it with proper wheel drive, great sounding 6 cyl engine, 265hp.
