I'm about to order a 5 Series (F10) M Sport with 19" wheels.

All of the M Sport press reviews I've read seem to have the 'Adaptive Drive' (which includes Variable Damper Control - VDC) option fitted which is very expensive at £2,265

So I'm looking for help, guidance and feedback from F10 M Sport owners as to whether they have this option fitted or not, what sized wheels they have and what their views are so far.

Whilst I enjoy a reasonably firm ride, I dislike the crash 'n' bang that can sometimes come with firm suspension particulary over the UK's bad city roads as well as some 'A' roads.

Thanks in advance.....

Its not as bad as journalists make out. Its firm but not harsh.

There is the option to delete M Sport suspension for no cost as well.

Hi,

I have an F11 M Sport on 19's. The ride is good and whilst it is firm I haven't found it uncomfortable. Compared to an X5 with 20's (just come out of) there is no comparison. The 19's look great so I would strongly recommend you order them. What colour/trim options etc are you going for?

....I had fun with the options smile

Nice options! One thing though, go for the Sports Auto gearbox option - I don't tihnk it's standard and its only £150 or so. You get the paddles and some different software settings (I think!). The only other thing is to think about eh M rear spoiler, subtle and looks good!

I think the cinnamon brown will look great! I've got Carbon Black with Oyster/black - lovely but a little safe I guess!

The 535d is super smooth but it takes a while to realise how quick it is!

Lovely car though - I don't think the adaptive drive is necessary and it's quite pricey.

Personally if you have specced all those options you might aswell add the adaptive drive. Lovely motor with that spec anyway.

5.5 seconds to 60 redface (I drive an E39 540i so that's quite annoying!!)

What's the deal with these wheels?

Are they dealer fit? They don't seem to be on the configurator but actually fill the arches being 20 inch. Shame there are so many spokes on them though!

A lovely combination to me and one I would consider, but, what's it like to keep clean? Bearing in mind I'm obsessive about car cleanliness! Just curious that's all.

Lovely looking car, later E39 Sports are still my favourite 5 though.

It's fine - weekly clean of seats with baby wipes does the trick. Most of the time it's only me in the car so no problem. Jeans tends to lose some of the denim colour on the leather though so you need to keep on top of that. Carpets etc all black so the kids don't ruin them!

I've got the 525d F10 M Sport with 19's (in Space Grey with Oyster leather) which I absolutly love, best car I've ever owned with the sports gearbox and steering wheel with paddle shift its everything you need, I also treated my kids with four zone heating and heated rear seats. You won't regret it IMO

Yep dealer fit, and quite pricey.
