Hi fellow petrolheads,
I'm new to the site and looking for some info or input on the two cars I'm interested in getting in March.

What are peoples thoughts on the mk1 focus RS & mk2 focus ST- what would you have??

I have a skoda Fabia vrs at the moment but I'm looking for something more fun!!

If you have any other cars you think would be good throw them in with whatever info!

Cheers

Guys
Welcome to PH Andy.

Fro me it would be the RS. much more special and rarer than a later ST. Also should hold it's money better too.

Good Luck

Why would you have the RS is it just because holds it's money better and it's rare?

I have had a test drive of a ST-3 and loved it!!! the 5pot roar is additive

To use as a daily and maybe modify the ST would be better.

To use rarely and cherish the RS would be a great way to keep £8-10k relatively safe.

Had both, RS is a better drive but will obviously be older. I'd get an Astra VXR over an ST, didnt really rate the ST if i'm being honest.

I will be using daily but not everyday as I bike in some times.

Why would you not rate the ST ?

Really?

Because the VXR I drove was perhaps the worst hot hatch from the recent past I drove in my "test drive every hot hatch around before deciding on one"

Abysmal.

The ST is a great car. If it is a daily go for that. Weekends, the RS.

The only Vxr I enjoyed being in is the Nurburgring but sadly it's out of my price range
