Porsche curves
Discussion
We have been to LMS 7 times and attended the Porsche Curves the first year we were there. Never been back. The problem with it is you're not really that close to the track and you view is a bit limited. Also, no screen. Having said that, some people obviously enjoy sitting there. Good points are there is often plenty of room so if you just want to sith there for a number of hours without getting crushed, its just about ok. If I compare it with Arnage for-instance, Arnage for me is 9 out of 10, Porsche Curves is maybe pushing a 5 out of 10.
You can view the last bit of the Porsche Curves from the Maison Blanche campsite. Since they improved the site the viewing is now pretty good. You see the cars head on as they come out of the last right hand sweep. Watching in the wet practise last year, a lot of cars had a nice chunk of opposite lock which would have made for nice photos.
Viewing from the outside of the porshe curves you can see them entering the right hander, It is one of the best places (IMO), to photograph the cars, from the Banking you have a clear view over the fencing so you have a clear shot of the cars.
This photo was taken last year with a canon eos 350d with 75-300mm zoom (is) lens. You can see the fencing in this photo but you can easily focus over this.
