My 2003 GMC Sierra Pick Up

I bought this nearly two months ago but only managed to get it registered last week.
It's a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 heavy duty. One careless tarmacer owner from new so it's a little bit battered but has only done 50,000 miles. 6.0 Vortec V8 currently giving a massive 10mpg.
It looked like this when I bought it.
It needed a new windscreen, both door mirror lenses, new rear tyres, exhaust blow fixing, UK light conversion, SVA testing and an MOT.
As I was having to change a couple of the tyres I decided to replace all of them with some oversized ones.
So, after all that and a clean it now looks like this.

I did think about putting a simple 2" kit on it but the wife was against the idea.lift kit

2"? hell, I'm putting a 2" on my suzuki... Get a monster 6" lift on there son, and do some fall guy-esque leaps over construction sites.
2" is an easy mod, anything more than that and you're into changing shocks etc.Bearing in mind the wife uses it as well as me, and lets me get away with buying things like this, I don't want to push my luck.

Just go out and do it. Apart from some of them not doing many miles to the gallon they're surprisingly cheap to run. I get 20mpg round town from the Mustang and 30 on a run. Reasonable insurance and cheap road tax.I'd love an American car / truck at some point.
The wife took the truck to work today and has apparently taken some pictures of it with normal cars in the car park to give an idea of its size. I'll try and post them up later when I get home.

2500 * 1.25 * 0.5 1562 pounds a year
by my rough math will pay for itself in 1.5 years and will add to residual of the vehicle??
