Hello,

Quick boring question.

Currently through CK insurance I am insured on my S2000 for £500. I rang up to enquire about a quote and they said they do not insure M3's as they are too risky and M3 drivers have a lot of accidents.

Anyway, so I went on confused.com and the cheapest I got quoted was £1000. I am 30, live in Enfield EN1, also I have 6 years NCB.

Any ideas on good insurers?

Also what are you guys being charged on your 2007+ M3's?

Jesus - you guys are doing well in those locations. I was quoted 1024, garaged in Surrey. 57 plate E92.

Put the bird on it as named driver and I guess my risk profile changed it was around 750.

Then needed to add tracker to get the insurance - so back up to 1050 plus the lifetime tracker deal.

In fairness it's worth every penny - BMW insurance - keys insured, legal, like for like

I'm 35, 9 years no claims. No points etc

Just renewed my '09 M3 saloon today thru A plan. Around £680, parked on my drive, Camberley, 40 something, 3 points. No tracker.

Go Compare came up with a best quote of £499 with Liverpool and Victoria and a couple around £650 - but decided to stick with A Plan who I have insured my two cars with for the past 5 years or so as I felt more comfortable with overall policy.

I'm with LV and I pay around £650 for my 2009 M3 Coupe. 40 Years old (hate saying that) full no claims, clean licence and car parked in the garage overnight.

It's due for renewal in the next few months, so I'll be doing the usual internet searches myself shortly.

I get a cheaper quote on an E92 M3 than I do on the E46 M3 - strange.

I got my old one insured for 800 at 28 up in norwich. A grand for enfield seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'm paying £700 ish with Admiral for an E92 Coupe. I'm 34 with full NCB, protected. It was cheaper when I added my father and my mate to the policy, initially being £840.

I can never figure it out though! When I was 21 I bought my first M3, an E36 at the time (seems like yesterday!! Lol), and I was paying £512 fully comp!! The reason it was so cheap, according to the guy, was that not many "younger" drivers had M3s at the time, so it wasn't a high risk car to them. It's creapt up and up over the years!!! Maybe now that cars are easier to obtain by younger drivers (well easier than when I was young!!) they are being loaded on the premiums???
