Fancy a change and something a bit cheaper to keep on the road. Don't really like a car that feels like its driving for me and I spend most of my time blating down B roads.

So what do you think?

Cars I keep coming back to is the Elise and VX220 Turbo, although Cerberas to seem to be on the mind (although not sure about it being cheaper).

Anything considered no badge snobbery here although needs to have that special something about it so no bland euro boxes :P

I'll save a few people typing and say 'mx5/caterfield and the rest on fuel/holiday' smile

How about something from the 70s/80s that won't be all electric helpers? Porsche of some kind?

ETA - beaten to it!

Somewhat of a modern classic choice.

This is what I'm thinking recently.. maybe not a club sport for £10K - just a nice sport.

I do like the griff but my old man has one. Other thoughts were a Chimera and dropping an LS1 in...

z3 m coupe

320 brake, 0-60 5 seconds, classic insurance, still modern enough and won't drop in value

Pfffttt....

Aprilia RSV4:

180 Brake, 0-60 2.8 seconds, Insurance about 30p, one of the most modern superbikes and will hardly drop in value anytime soon. (well, if you compare its depreciation against a carhehe)

Weekend Toy?

Howzat? I seem to remember it's the straight 6 from the M3.

Or on a slightly different note?
