Positive post for truckers

Seeing as there have been one or two posts knocking truckers recently (note my last one on the subject was a question,, not a knock), I thought I should give this week's thumbs-up and praise to the truckers on the A1 Southbound around Doncaster this morning, and also those stuck in the long queue along the M18 onto the M1. They seemed to be the only ones awake and well-mannered enough to move aside to let me through on the bike, whereas the Wayne Kerrs in their little tin boxes were somewhat less than attentive in their appreciation of motorcycles 'making progress'. Except for the ones that deliberately closed gaps where there was previously enough room 
- they quite obviously were watching! Hah! You don't stop me, suckers. Perhaps the rest were just not expecting bikes out in such wet weather?

Most truckers are pretty aware of what's going on around them and tend to let bikes through in traffic jams etc.
There are of course a few who don't, but the worst people are often car drivers and who simply do not seem to understand that you are merely and legally filtering through the traffic flows without inconveniencing anyone.

I'm a truck driver,and I always make room for bikers, I am one!!!, and you're right about the people that try to block you, must just be jealousy? Have to say though that driving in London with the couriers is hhmmm interesting......when you get two guys passing one either side it can get a bit hairy. Truckers have to be like spiders, 8 eyes, 4 on front 2 on sides and two on your arse to try and keep up !!!

The "Billy Connolly spider" of Scotland certainly has big enough eyes. And all 8 are up front.
Excuse the thread high jack.
Also note, Im not 100% sure that its really called the Billy Connolly Spider, I made that bit up!
