MP4-12C in EVO
Discussion
I'm disappointed by the coverage. They gave the new McLaren a lot less space this month than the Huayra got last month yet they drove the 12c three times and didn't get to drive the Pagani. OK, I know EVO magazine is so far up Horatio's tailpipe you can almost see Mr Metcalf's feet, but the balance between what the Pagani got and the McLaren got is out of kilter.
They drove the McLaren around Dunsfold and didn't quote a time, and to say it looks bland needs to be seen in the reflection of the 911 which is blander than Sainsbury's plain white sliced, yet still cherished as an exciting car.

Where's mine also?
In a recent Autocar they said they are Celebrating 5000 roadtests with a 400 page special issue that costs £5.99 I think. It is either out tomorrow or next Wed. They indicate that as well as this monster issue they will be roadtesting something special, so I guess full facts and figures for the MP4-12C.
Can one of the journo's here confirm?

I think Royal Mail must be really crap
Don't blame Royal mail, I get my Classic Car, C&SC, Motor Sport, Car, and Octane ahead of the shops every month, but EVO is usually late. Time to end the subscription I think, the Pagani and Porsche bias annoys me and I find I read less of it every month.MG511 said:

It's not just evo though. Everything sent to my address via Royal Mail arrives at least a couple of days later than it was supposed to. I actually went a nearly month without any mail before Christmas, then it all arrived in one massive lot. Think the postie just couldn't be bothered to do his rounds every day!MG511 said:

usually get Evo delivered 5 days or so before the shops, still waiting for this months though and the local Tesco have it on the shelf.I have no idea why Evo are so crap in getting their magazine out to its readers, I have 4 other motoring subs and everytime they arrive on the date there supposed to.
I'd like to put it down to press embargos but quite honestly this is the excuse used by Evo on a monthly basis. I've been talking about dropping the subscription due to the eratic delivery but quite like the subscribers covers.

Oh great, yet another thread discussing EVO and yet I’m still waiting (like others it seems) for my subscription copy to drop through the door.
I was under the impression that subscriptions were meant to arrive a few days before seen in the shops, but time on time it seems the complete opposite happens. (Just looked at their site and it states "Hot-of-the-press delivery", well I guess the shops must get first dibs on what comes off this "press" !)
Was looking forward to the full "hands on" macca review but sounds like I maybe disappointed. Oh well I guess I’ll find out when my copy eventually arrives......but when it does its still the best mag available IMO.
