Is there any, anymore ?

We used to be able to go and watch (FOC) the shakedowns. I believe they then started to charge for watching this. But looking via Google, it appears that there is no testing at Silverstone anymore.

Is this the case or does anyone have any 'inside' info they could share with me via email? I'd love to take my lad for a few hours just as a taster.

scratched with the testing ban they brought in a few years back.

Ah! I thought this ban had been lifted. It appears not.

It's a shame.

Silverstone is pretty much a buidling site at the moment. I was there last weekend and there is a massive amount of development going on.

In season testing is banned. IIRC the earliest Silverstone test used to around April at the earliest and still had to keep fingers crossed for dry running.

2005/06 they used to have three tests a year. First one in Feb. I was there one year watching a Renault go around the track very slowly. Track was cleared but rest of Silverstone was snow covered
