Boxster hard-top

Any Boxster owners out there with a hard-top? I've got a '97 2.5 bought only 4 weeks ago (and loving it) and want to know if a hard-top would be a good investment (2nd hand) for the winter. My Boxster's silver, do you think a black hard-top is OK or do I wait for a silver one? Any advice on what I should be paying for one 2nd-hand?
I have a hard top which I use through the winter months. Nice things about it are the heated rear windscreen, the ability to scrape the ice off it without worrying about scratching plastic and a minor (misplaced, probably) feeling of additional security.
It would look damn silly if its not the matching colour, frankly (IMHO of course). You could always get one painted?
Down sides are:
On a crisp clear day in winter you are left looking at the thing thinking "I wish I had a tin-opener."
The fit of the hardtop isn't quite as good as that of the integral roof. This doesn't mean it leaks - of course not. But it does mean that (AMAZINGLY) the wind noise it is not quite as quiet at high speed.
The new model will have a glass rear window in the cabrio roof system practically elimating the need for a hardtop in my view...I may still get one though as Porsche have reduced the price of the option quite significantly and there are winter days...etc etc

Oh - other useful tip: Join the Porsche Club. Their Porsche Post magazine is filled with ads from specialists, dealers and so on. I have seen ads for hardtops so it might be worth checking that out. As for what to pay - sorry I can't remember what numbers I've seen.
Personally I'd get a hardtop if your car will live outside overnight during winter (like mine) - otherwise I wouldn't bother...
