Rattles in cars

In the last 10 years - 3 BMWs and 3 Audis.
All 6 have had rattles, the current A5 needs to go in soon for dash & centre console rattles. They were fixed, but rattling again.
An E46 M3 had all it's heater linkages replaced at 8K miles, along with the centre console, rear parcel shelf, both door cards, and door speakers. Shocking really, but about £2.5K worth on that one alone.
E46 330Ci (bought brand new) had to have a new exhaust in the end at 1K miles as the flap in the end rattled like a good 'un.
Two Audi A4 Cabs had roof & dashboard rattle.
Everything above was sorted under warranty.

1993 MX5...... the roll bar is touching the inside of the hardtop and has suspension so firm it makes a GT2 look soft. I may be driven bonkers before i organise the fitting of a much needed soft top (or the hardtop may go awol should i fall into one of the more severe potholes out there!)

3 year old Focus mk2.5 has a single rattle. It is from the boot area, and is an occasional 'tock' noise (sounds like bootlid against rubber stoppers or something). Otherwise surprisingly quiet for a white goods car. Suitably impressed given the hard life it has had.
Actually there is another one, but given that it was caused by the previous owner breaking some of the trim I don't think I can hold that against it (unless they smashed the bit of trim because it was already rattling
)

)The Arosa has too many rattles to mention. Though by far the most irritating one is the radio surround which rattles when sat at idle speed.
The Jag is pretty good. A creak from the passenger seat occasionally but thats about it. Although a previous owner seems to have posted a coin through an air vent so when cornering it slides about behind the dash. I can't really blame the car for that one though.

Once any ford reaches 2 years old it immediately develops more loose trim parts than it has trim parts and irritates the life out of you (or at least mine did).
Yours may have done, my 2007 car is fine. The '96 car rattles like anything these days mind but that isn't bad going really is it?

My 996C4S rattles and squeaks- since having a replacement windscreen fitted. It has gotten worse over time, and there's bugger all I can do about it. Grrr!
I had a new Range-Rover that had to have a new windscreen fitted because it was too small, it slid side to side and made a thump when it hit the frame when corning.
