Chaps,

I have had my JZR Morgan inspired replica for coming up four years now, iv been lavishing a little TLC on her over the past few months and have now decided to go the whole hog.

Plenty done so far; powder coating parts, rebuilt engine, rear Tyre, battery, new wheels and rewired. . . the list goes on.

So, its time to strip it all back again and send her to the body-shop for a lick of paint.

I have taken a shine to a light green tea colour lately, combined with red wire wheels. What do you think?

Funds permitting, i think the brake kit shown below would look tasty. Brake gear is very visible, the old cortina equipment fitted now is looking increasingly tired.

I would appreciate any alternative suggestions/ colour combos....

Pic of mine below, others for inspiration/ photoshopability!

Cheers, Mitch

Well spotted winkbiggrin Owning something like this is fundamentally about being a bit different anyway and each to their own and all that! Check out the colour of the trike revealed at Geneva today - it's a 'military' sort of green, but quite close to that which you are looking for - might be possible to get the 'authentic' colour if you ask someone who is speccing one...

Looks like fun.

Would BRGreen be more appropriate, with silver or gun metal colour wheels.

Also going to suggest you lose the heavy mudguards but looks like you're halfway there anyway and replace with some lighter shorter stainless steel ones - bit like replacing standard BSA A10 guards with Goldflash ones. I like the style of the mudguards on the new Morgan trike but they're horribly long, I guess for new vehicle reg reasons.

And those silencers, they look like the cheap aftermarket ones we used to fit onto customers CD200 Benlys and draw the attention to the maggot, sorry CX running gear. The kit looks to have done a great job of hiding the rad and associated pipe etc, really think a pair of Bonneville silencers would really complete the look.

I think the Cortina brakes look OK. Could you get away with a straight front numberplate using legal size motorcycle letters, square bike plate on the rear?

I did hear somewhere else someone developing a supercharger for a Pan-European engine ....... yikes

Thanks for the replies guys,

Graham, Im nto too sure what you mean re. the from numberplates. DO you mean the old style ones fitted to the fron mudguard of bikes; only readable from the side?

Bonneville pipes look fab, iv been thinking about swapping the cans over for a while now. Mine look utterly crap on close inspection. I had been looking toward harley speedster items, that just went out of the window!

Hmmm, decision time.
