Who loves their TVR - and why?!!
Discussion
Love it (and miss it too - thats now 4 weeks without it now!!!). Loud, fast, great to look at and a complete driving experience. You really do DRIVE it rather than ride in it....
But basically cos it is louder than anything else on my road. The other month managed to set of a couple of car alarms too....
Cheers,
Paul

- Drop dead gorgeous looks
- Brutal power and awesome speed
- Racing car handling
- Fantastic noise
- It has to be driven
- Nothing else like it, anywhere
- I actively look for excuses to take it out
- It's a mad, completely bonkers car and I must need my head examining for owning it

Ah Swiss Tony.
You know driving your car is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. First you spend loads of money on her to make her feel wanted, you take her out so people can admire her. Then when the time is right, you slip your key in and pump her throttle. Thats when she shouts in your ear with a loud V8 roar and you know youve hit the spot.

Its just excellent when that happens.

A few weeks back at Silverstone we'd just finished a track session in a Lotus so...I started up the Chimaera. A coupld of BMWs two rows away start blaring. I laughed so hard I nearly burst...

Actaully one of the reasons I love my car is 'cos when I see people in newish Fiestas, Micras, Metros. etc etc (dissapearing in the rear view mirror).. I know they paid more for their car than I did for mine.. and they'd never even consider that to be the case.
makes me think what a bargain I have

Excellent :-)
My Griffith is comfy, very fast, fun to drive, easy to drive fast (depite what some might say) cheapish to run and has been very reliable (we'll forget the fact that it let me down for the first time in 55k miles this week).
It is also pretty rare, makes me smile, makes other drivers smile, and makes enough noise to alert the dogs to the fact that I'm on my way home when I'm several miles away.
I like TVR's so much I'm about to go and test drive a Cerbera 4.5.
