What colour Callipers ??

Just getting around to the last few job’s before I’m back on the road in April…
One of them is to refresh the callipers.. purely from an aesthetic point of view as they are working fine… But wanted thoughts on appropriate colours to do them in.
My car is Red Glow with Silver std wheels (slightly less white / silver than original…).. and I have all the standard 500 calliper set up.. so not Brembo or anything special…
They are silver now.. and a bright silver I think would look good… But I’d like them red… but not sure they are nice enough for that… and will it look a bit of a d*ck… may be a bit boy racer….
Any pic’s out there of what’s been done to these std units to help my decision making…

I think the thing with red or yellow etc on standard Ford calipers is that it says you're trying to make them look like Brembo's or Carbo Ceramics or something far more exotic than the single piston sliding caliper they actually are . . Max Power in it's essence . . .

Not at all, trying to make Ford calipers look presentable, not only that, when you are on the move no fecker can read Brembo ........

don't think we'll be going there then... but got to say hat's off to the guy who did it...The red ones may be don't look bad.. but with the 7 spokes, may be you see a bit more of them?....
Gold sounds a good choice but it would have to be the right gold... of they either look like gone-off silver... Of faded yellow...

So by saying that you can't read whether they are Brembo or not on the move are you trying to replicate them or just wanting to make them more presentable?
I knew I'd come up against some opposition, however I've been through the blue HT leads, the blue silicone the matching this and that and the other and none of it looks very good (awaiting a proper flaming for just about everyone on the forum) but each to their own. None of the colours ever match and I'm a simple man of simple tastes and think it's better to keep these cars looking relatively simple in terms of dressing.
My engine bay is only black and silver for example (apart from HT leads which I had to have in blue, until they need replacing and I can get some black Moroso's instead), oh, and the aftermarket FPR which was only available in red or blue, until I spray it.
As for brake calipers, after seeing no end of Lax Power Corsa's and Fiesta's et al with painted red calipers it's something that IMHO just doesn't look good on a car like ours. It attracts attention to an area of the car that I thought and still think was a lame decision on the part of TVR, in fitting cheap Ford brakes to 150+mph car.
Get's flame proof jacket and awaits further flaming . . . at least I'm prepared to say so, which most won't and the beauty of our 'community' is it takes all sorts and there's no right answer.

My other high performance car is a Corsa PS - except my Chimaera owning father of course
On that colour car, silver's the only way to go IMO. If you must change, black would be the only thing I'd consider.
I used to love red calipers on sportscars, but it really depends what the car is, and what colour it is (and how well the brakes fill the wheels). Increasingly, I think silver or black are the best bets.
