Possibly one of the odder requests on PH!

Our parish has got some Section 106 money to improve what is currently a poorly laid & drained gravel layby.

One of the items that used to be on the site was the old village stocks which apparently rotted away in the 1960s.

Along with other oak features, such as the old style wooden finger post for the road sign, it's been decided to replace the stocks as part of the work - albeit locked closed to prevent "innapropriate use"! smile

I've been tasked with getting a couple of quotes for someone to create the stocks - any recommendations for anyone who might be able to quote on such work?

We're in the Pangbourne area - but I think it's a supply only job.

Thanks,
Steve

Hmmmm - there really is something for everyone on the internet, isn't there?!

To those who gave "proper" contact details - thanks. I'll hopefully follow up on them next week.
