Soon be time for a new clay bar.
Discussion
Right as above it will soon by time for a new clay bar. I've been through the Megs Quick Clay, which I like and the Megs Aggressive Clay that I also like but find it goes off quite quickly.
My favourite has to have been the Gloss It Mild Clay though. Plenty of claying action while giving minimal if any marring. That said the marring isn't a problem for me. If I'm claying I'm going to be machine correcting.
So recommend me a clay bar. What do you use and why?
Cheers,
Matt.

Free soft clay when you get their newly released Micro-fine polish - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.p...
I've given the Zaino a go. Placed my order today. I liked the sound of the Bilt Hamber and a few of their other products. But when ordering and questioning a clear error on their site I found their attitude stinks so have taken my hard earned elsewhere.
Lets hope the Zaino does the business.

Those sold in the US are all licensed from Auto Magic, the patent holder, and the same in Japan.
BH are a UK manufacturer, don't sell it in the US or Japan, so have their own unique formulation.
Richardo clay is made in the US, but only sold in Canada, iirc.
Dodo's Grey & Purple (two differing grades) will be different from 3M's, and Zaino's, and Clay Magic's, and Meguiar's, and......
Worth understanding all that before tarring everyone with the same brush, to make a non-point.

Attitude? Doesn't sound right.
Whom were you speaking with?
What was the error?
Someone called John.Whom were you speaking with?
What was the error?
At the checkout it states "for free shipping in the uk or a carriage discount for orders over £60 type this voucher code: XXXX in the box below and click add"
But it doesn't work for orders under £60. I questioned it and got a bit of a snotty answer. Not very customer focused imo.
So there's a code for free shipping if the order is over £60, and you argued about it for a potential order under £60?
I "know" John - good lad, and would be surprised if he was snotty straight off the bat.
You either weren't listening to what you were being told or he's under pressure making enough clay bars to meet demand.
The new site went live not long ago, and they have had a couple of minor teething problems, but not spoken since, so would've presumed everything had been ironed out.
Shame you threw the head up, as they are great products, especially the corrosion stuff.
You could always use www.carnaubawaxshhop.co.uk for their stuff if you wanted to deal with a reseller than them directly.
Still, enjoy the Zaino, it's half decent from what I've read from users' comments.

Please read what I typed - the site states free UK shipping or discount on orders over £60. Not Free delivery on orders over £60. I wouldn't push for free delivery when that's not what it stated.I "know" John - good lad, and would be surprised if he was snotty straight off the bat.

If I was running a sales site and someone questioned why they were not receiving free delivery when it states they are eligible and it was not allowing them to received it, I'd honour it and have the error corrected.
does seem their statement is not well worded for clarity...id have assumed id get free shipping too (though odd to get it free for cheap ordes and only a discount on big ones!)
one thing that did interest me though....you asked for opinions and got most positive for BHammer, then DJuice, and really a single mention of Zaino. but thats what you've bought? why ask? (genuinely just interested, not remotely bothered!)

I was placing an order for a fair bit of other detailing kit and the place I ordered from I couldn't see the Dodo one. So as not to make the clay expensive by only ordering that from elsewhere I went for the Zaino as they had that.Gassing Station | Bodywork & Detailing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
