Family member wants a brand-new Porsche, but which one?

Uncle of mine wants to treat himself to a brand-new Porsche. He wants something slightly out of the ordinary hence the choices above rather than standard Carrera S etc.

Doesn't want to spend any more than the money it will take to get into the 911 so this rules out posher 911s like the GTS, GT3 etc.

He currently has a 12-year old 996 that he bought from new so he is not one for changing his cars much. So far he has driven both the Spyder and a standard 997 Carrera (mechanically the same as Black Edition) and cannot choose between them. He's yet to try a Cayman R but will do when he can.

Thoughts?

Daily driver or weekend/fair weather car?

Everyday car but he's now pretty much retired so mainly fun use. His wife has an Audi allroad thing that she uses for horseriding duties etc so they have that if needed.

He won't want a Boxster/Cayman, even though they may be quicker around the track they aren't going to be as special as a 911.
