Short Throw Shifter for T5 Griff

Hey Guys -
I did a search but came up fruitless. The shifts are a bit too long in my Griff and I'd like to shorten it up a bit. Can I use a standard short shifter from any T5 or is the TVR box somehow different? I have a "Pro 5.0" shifter in my LS7 powered RX7 and the shifts are nice and direct. Pro 5.0 manufacturers a shifter for the T5 in the fox bodied Mustang. Same box minus bellhousing, right?

Not sure

The installation in the Griff uses a TVR modification to move the gear lever forward in the car so I don't think a standard short throw shifter will work.

You might be able to modify the linkage to improve the throw though. I guess anything is possible depending how mouch time/money you want to put in.

The Japanese have that down to a science (just not for a TVR) . Pretty slick sequential shifter but it is a little pricey:

I thought the T5 was pretty quick on the changes already but i am interested in cutting these times to a minimum.

I'll have to take a peek and see how TVR fitted the linkage to the shifter. The "standard" T5 box uses a bolt in shifter mechanism and perhaps the TVR linkage could attach to that. I'm just not sure how much of a reduction in throw could be achieved by preserving the TVR linkage.
