I am looking to purchase a 500 for the 14 mile round trip i do every weekday to the train station. I have £8.5 to spend. This seems to get me into an almost brand new 1.2 Pop or a higher specced/mileaged 1.4.

Tempted to find the cheapest 1.2 with sub 5k miles I can find. Is there any reason not to do this and is there any spec pitfalls i should be aware of ?

Lastly what MPG should I really expect, the route to the station is 3 miles A road followed by 4 miles dual-carriageway.

Many Thanks

I had a Panda 1.1 at 5250 pre-reg; very good commuter around town (incredibly easy to park and narrow enough to slip through gaps) but the 1.2 would have been useful on the motorway. The 500 shares the "DNA" so will fill a similar role if you don't need easy access to the rear seats (and don't want to be laughed at in a car park full of terribly self-important German metal). The 1.2 should be enough, rear-park sensors an idea as the rear vision not as good as the Panda (but what is?).

I sell Fiats for a living.

PCP's on new 500's are currently very, very good deals. New 1.2 Pop, £1,850 Deposit including £750 from Fiat (cars registered before 31/3) for £117 a month on a PCP! That's based on Bossa Nova White.

This promotion has been very, very successful for Fiat. Very few Lounge or Sport spec cars available for March delivery.

Panda Mylife also a good should, has alloys, central locking and Air con for £6995 until 31/3.

Good god man, if you can't park a 500 without parking sensors im not sure you should be driving at all.

You can have a PCP deal anytime, however cars registered after 31/3 would not be elligable for the £750 from Fiat. Out of interest, why the Twinair? How many miles will the car be covering? Do you drive in to the London?

Twin-Air ticks the right boxes and will be used in London, my locally dealer will match the deal on a factory ordr with current pcp having popped in today

In which case the Twinair makes perfect sense, might as well order one without any further delay. wink
