Should you wish to obtain details of a vehicle's specification, or information on the visits to a dealership of a particular vehicle, this is only available by calling our dedicated team on: 0906 209 0001 (Calls are charged at £1 per minute). Lines are open 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Calls may be recorded for training purposes
Anyone phoned it recently?

I'm looking to get the specificaiton of a car i'm buying so I called the above number. But after two minutes = £2, I still didn't get through to anyone. Does anyone know how long the process takes? Once through will they agree to email the build spec?

Just 2 or 3 years back you could email BMW and they'd return the email within 24 hours with the full build spec, all the visits to BMW dealers etc... Shame they now charge £1 a minute!!

I tried it and it wasn't particularly useful. I got much better info for free by asking my local BMW dealer. (Would you believe there's info that the dealers can tell you which the so called info line cannot!)

I was trying to find out if my car had the newer or older 3.0 diesel engine.

Tried a cheeky call to the dealer, but they gave me the number above to call. They weren't entertaining it at all.

RealOEM is brilliant for part numbers, engine size etc, but doesn't give me any information on optional extras fitted.

Have you tried actually going in to the dealership?

I popped into Vines of Guildford a couple of months ago to ask if they could tell me the spec of my 635csi (I wanted to know whether it had a factory LSD fitted...). The chap on the service desk couldn't have been more helpful and I walked out with a print out showing all its options when new.

So its worth a try!

They did need the VIN number though, which might be more of a problem if you don't own the car yet.
