The thread about crazy things you've seen people doing while driving reminded me of a weird but funny thing I saw on the side of the road whilst I was driving.

A couple having a candle-lit dinner in the middle of a raised-bed mini-roundabout- table, chairs, food, wine, candles, it was all there...mental but funny

The guy that hit it isn't allowed to take it remember! You might have been next along, you should have taken it, lots of eating in a horse!
This one looked like it had been there for a few days and was already being eaten by the local wildlife. Not sure I'd have got back across the border crossing (Mexico to USA) if I'd strapped it to the bonnet. biggrin

Once saw someone standing in the middle of the road on the other lane at about 3 in the morning in the middle of nowhere. I nearly shat myself as i didn't see him till the very last second (was a bit foggy so visibility was poor). Very weird tbh.

I once thought I saw a dead baby ghost at the side of the road.

In hindsight it was probably a handkercheif.

Whilst on holiday in Jamaica, driving through some of the much poorer parts of the coutryside, saw a dead cow in the middle of the road that had just been hit by a large lorry (pretty sure on purpose too). Its gut was gaping open, split by the impact.

People were gathering with various pots, pans and large knives.....

Pretty sure it was gone in the next few hours, and people in that particular impoverished village probably ate quite well that night....

Something I see more and more...people running! Very strange it was too as they didn't appear to be running from anything, no fires, angry mobs etc. Weirdos

Paupers. They can't afford cars so have to use their legs to get places.

I once saw a Freelander stopped on the hard shoulder without a puddle of murky water underneath it.

Very strange...

Bloke at the side of the road in Didsbury one busy saturday night.
Stood there stark naked with the huuuugest todger I've ever seen in my life.
My mate reckoned it was "care in the community at work"
I just think he was bloody proud of it.
