Wondering if anyone can help.

We have just moved into a new house and the estate agent called saying he was going to pop in to our house this afternoon to check the painting was done properly.

Can an estate agent do this, as normally it is only the landlord and they have to give 24hrs notice?

Do you mean its rented, and the agent wants to visit when you are not there?

The agent can act for the landlord, but they can only go in with your permission (unless its a safety issue).
