I like these and will congratulate you on a good purchase! 
However,
I test drove one a couple of years ago when I still had my boggo Ka and just couldn't get on with it. I think if I had one, I'd have the sport button set to 'on' all the time to give me some chance of making it feel normal.
I also couldn't get on with the 'digital' pedals ie. The brakes and accelerator were either on or off; I just couldn't balance them.
Felt good to get back in my much inferior and gutless Ka.
Anyone else noticed this?

Think it's a modern small car thing - my Picanto is like that the first time you drive it but you get used to it quickly. Brakes are the most sensitive on any car I've ever driven Felt good to get back in my much inferior and gutless Ka.

The Sport button is never off on mine, unless the wife is driving it, so I don't really have an objective view of the difference. All I know is I drove it with and without for 1 day after purchase, then permanently switched Sport on.However,

Yes the throttle response is a little artificial at slow speeds, and can lead to kangarooing if you aren't used to it, but you soon get used to it. The upside is that on a good road, using all the throttle, it just comes to life. The downside is that it does encourage you to go faster than you probably should, as it is so composed and entertaining when you are pressing on. The brake pedal is a little high for effective heel and toe but again you can get used to it over time.
Funnily enough I had a Ka before I brought the Panda, but spent 6 months driving a 23' RV around America in-between one and the other, so again would struggle to directly compare

Again, at low speed the extra weighting from Sport is a bit artificial, but once you are making progress it is no longer an issue, at least not for me. It is definitely not at its best as a town car or in stop start traffic, but thankfully my commute is via relatively clear country a and b roads, and on NSL roads the chassis, steering and throttle response are imho very good.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
